Iceland and nOrway

My first guiding experience was as a co-guide for an Eco-Health Study Tour to Iceland and Norway. The trip was 3 weeks with 14 students. The purpose of the trip was to learn about the Norwegian philosohpy "Frilutzliv"and participate in various hiking trips.

Malawi and Zambia

I was a lead guide and facilitator for program called Health Promotion Without Borders. We partnered with Naturally Africa Volunteers and did field research, wound care clinics and education courses on health promotion. We also vistied South Luangwa National Park in Zambia and learned from Conservation South Luangwa about their efforts to protect the wildlife and reduce poaching and snaring in the park.

Guatemala

I designed and lead a trip to Guatemala to meet with different NGO's for potential partnerships with my workplace. We met with Education-based NGO's and a community organization that runs a women's cooperative, nutrition centre and educational workshops.

British Columbia, Canada

I was co-organized a trip to Vancouver Island with the start-up organization One Species. This involved recruiting ambassadors to join us on a kayaking trip around Vancouver Island and learn about the Southern Resident Killer Whales which are species at the brink of extinction.

Ontario, Canada

I designed and co-lead a trip with both International students and domestic Canadian students on a " Canadiana Road Trip" where students camped, snorkeled and hiked. It was a welcome trip to a newly arrived group of International students to connect with one another and with canadian culture.
